Do Some Good

Corner Readers (someone needs to think of a catchy name for yourselves!),

A friend of mine sent me the following invitation for an event in March. It involves sky-diving.

Now, while I replied to this invitation with, "Are you trying to kill me?!" it is for a good cause.  But my, we'll call it a 'less than enthusiastic support of heights,' precludes me from actually jumping out of a plane and crashing into the earth. I don't care what my pastoral care provider friend Lorraine (who should not be reading this during class at the seminary) tells me from her experience jumping out of planes--I say, she's much closer to God than I am, so I'm not taking any chances. Plus, if I called my mother and told her I was going to jump out of an airplane, the poor woman would have something else to lose sleep over.  So, really, I'm not just thinking of myself...

If, however, you are (a) close to God or whomever and/or (b) inclined to jumping out of planes and free-falling (somewhat) to the earth and/or (c) have a parent who wouldn't lose sleep over you falling to earth, go for it. And feel free to send TheBuzzAbout a photo.  I'll keep my feet on the ground for you.
