Back In The Day...
I was just chatting with my pal online and she brought up "Stretch Armstrong" - a toy we both had back in the late 70s - early 80s. While stretching him to great lengths was great fun, the best part of having one of these toys was "busting" it open to see what cool goo was inside that made him stretch.
This got me thinking about childhood toys I had in the late 70s - early 80s...
I got a Baby Alive for Christmas when I was 7 years old. I was stoked to be able to feed her and change her diaper. Simply mix a mysterious powdered substance with water and let the fun begin.
My cousins and I had Lincoln Logs and Tinker Toys at my grandparents' house and had so much fun building with them.
Don't forget Rock'em Sock'em Robots. Hours of fun....
And, how about Spirograph? It's Spiromania!
So, TBA Reader...what were some of your favorite childhood toys? Why were they your favorite toys?
p.s. I never ever owned a Barbie. Just sayin'.
