Some of you expressed interest in how we created our little pond so I thought I'd share a slideshow of pictures that documents the process.

We sort of "winged it" and didn't do too much pre-planning. My biggest advice to anyone interested in putting in a backyard pond is to be careful where you dig. Choose a spot that isn't too close to trees/shrubs or you'll end up battling with pesky roots. Also - digging a pond in early July is probably not the best idea! :)
