Tripp Easton Mitchell Johnson was born Saturday to Bristol Palin and Levi Johnson. $300,000 was reportedly offered from People Magazine and others for the first pictures of the tot. Maybe the money will help Levi's mother with her legal bills for allegedly dealing drugs.

-On this, the last day of 2008: I beg the writer's of Grey's Anatomy to let dead Denny R.I.P., so that the viewers may have a bit of peace in 2009! Enough is enough!

-Watched The Kennedy Center Awards last night. One of my faves (yes, along way from Ani DiFranco), Barbara Streisand was honored. I was lucky enough to see Barbara twice in concert in recent years. I saw her farewell tour, and her final farewell tour. I've seen hundreds of concerts in my day, but Barbara live at Madison Square Garden in NY was one of my favorite events of all time. And it was just that, an event. A bit of Broadway, a bit of banter, but a flawlessly scripted and delivered Streisand performance.
